It hadn't been all that difficult for Liv to settle in to her job here. It was different without Ravi, but she at least had a steady supply of brains. She knew she had to be careful. She didn't have any allies here. And that Rick guy, he probably wouldn't take too kindly to a zombie girl munching on brains, even if they were only of dead people. Her hopes of Ravi finding a cure had been more than a little dashed. She was here, and he wasn't. Major wasn't here. Peyton wasn't here. She was on her own.
With everything going on, it would have been easy for Liv to just give up entirely. She could go back to that person with no hope, no dreams, and no ambition. She'd been that person for months, back home. She'd spent time eating whatever she could that was extremely hot and lounging in front of the TV. But after Ravi told her he would do what he could to find a cure, she became hopeful again. Now, she was back to square one.
Liv refused to become that person again, though. She couldn't be as dead on the inside as she was on the outside. She wouldn't be here forever. And maybe Ravi would show up. She wasn't willing to just give up, even if it would be so easy. Here more than ever, she needed to keep her emotions in check. She couldn't afford to go into full on zombie mode in front of a bunch of strangers.
"Hmm?" She asked, coming out of her daze when she heard the man speak. She struggled to remember what he'd said. It wasn't her fault. She'd been so zoned out.
"Oh right, Dr. Liv Moore." She introduced herself. "And no, I'm about finished here so...do what you need to." She studied him, trying to figure him out. He was definitely not a zombie. There was something different about him though, she could tell. She just didn't know what it was. For starters, he was talking about the deceased man as if he were...still with them, in a way. Strange.
