Peggy wasn't surprised by Steve's reaction or the fact that governments never changed. They never would. It was as simple as that. No matter where or when there would be corrupt people and Peggy didn't delusion herself in thinking otherwise. "She laughed softly. We could be thousands of years in the future and on a different planet and I think that would still be the case when it came to the government," she admitted. "People try but in the end Governments breed corruption and contempt," she said with a shake of her head.
That sort of thing disgusted her. She believed in morals and doing the right thing. People who did that and remained like that in politics were the sort of people she respected and would support, provided she agreed with their stance on things. She knew she wouldn't agree with everything but if it was close then that was what mattered.
"So am I though. Howard would never do anything like that. It just proves our point unfortunately," she said with a shake of her head.
"I'm glad you do, though I must have looked like an old hag by then," she laughed. She'd be in her nintes probably, she was surprised shew as still alive truthfully. "I'm somewhat surprised I'm still alive then truthfully," she said with a shake of her head. "But yes, we have here and now and I'm determined to make the best of the situation. I'd like it if you could do that for me though, I trust your judgement when it comes to people," he told her truthfully.
"Are you enjoying it? For myself I think I saw something about being a Detective for the police but I didn't pay much attention to it. I was still more interested in trying to find out what was happening here," she admitted.
