Peggy wiped her hands on her skirt, to rid them of the perspiration that was covering them as she made her way towards the apartment where Steve stayed. She was surprisingly nervous about seeing him again. Excited too, but nervous and the latter was what surprised her the most. It was Steve, her best friend, well one of them. They had gone through so much together it was hard imagining her being in this position. Still so much had changed since she had last seen him. Seen him die. That was what she had thought at the time, what she thought for the past year. Only, she ended up here in Test City to discover the fact that he was not only here but that he had survived the crash and would spend the next seventy years or so frozen in ice.
That was the thing she was having the most trouble wrapping her head around.
"Steve," she breathed out, a smile lighting up her face as she saw him again for the first time. He looked exactly like she remembered her and it was amazing. "Tea would be amazing thank you," she added stepping into the apartment. If she was anyone else she might have gone something stronger but even with living in the States for the past few years she was still British through and through and her love of tea would never disappear.
