Loki + OTA; Quite a ways into the expedition, TBA
The passage through the gate truly felt like a passage through time as the ecosystem unfolded around him. Sounds of extinct creatures twittered and growled and echoed in between the gaps in the trees, surrounding him and seemingly taking no notice of his presence. That curiosity that had prodded Loki into entering into this dangerous but exciting endeavour was not disappointed and he had sought only to find as many of the massive animals as he could, if only to be able to commit their forms to memory out of the simple desire to hold the images in his mind long after they disappeared back into extinction. Since passing through the portal, Loki had found that he most enjoyed the company of the ones labelled by Midgardians as herbivores, finding their movements and habits to be calming.
While travelling through the forest alongside one of the herds of ankylosaurs, familiarly foreign sounds caught his attention. Voices carried through the trees in a sharper way than the native sounds, harsher and louder and were accompanied by the sounds of equipment and armour. Cloaking himself in invisibility, Loki deviated from the path towards the new sounds only to be greeted with faced he had preferred not to see again. Amongst those in tow — and most prominent — was Stark, clad in his garish armour. Remaining hidden, Loki followed alongside their expedition, studying each of the members and finding there were a handful of individuals who were strangers to him and he set about judging whether they were dangerous. It was entirely possible that this group would eventually come across the larger and more hostile of the creatures with the noise radiating from them, though he would be long gone before the attack was completed. Or perhaps just far enough to watch it happen, though he was not sure he was quite that vindictive.
Some time after secretly joining the group, Loki let his form come into view though he drew no immediate attention to himself with a sound for a word. Ever silently, he moved slowly ahead from the centre of the group where he had spent the majority of his time, falling back in line with the expedition's pace as soon as he advanced to the new section. Out of the corner of his eye, he waited to see who would be first to recognise his presence while simultaneously keeping up his guard. An attack from either the party members or one of the dinosaurs could come swiftly and Loki would not fall to either with proper preparation. Regardless, he eagerly awaited the reaction of those around him to his sudden presence, the anticipation and simple joy of startling them well worth the potential of violence.
