Jane + Tony + OPEN TO THOR & PEPPER; Halfway through the expedition; Warnings for Science
Jane was thrilled to be out in the jungle, collecting all the data she wanted. This was the first destination Test City had moved to, as far as the residents knew, and that was interesting to her. She wanted to know why they had been brought to a new location, why this location, and if the dinosaurs were truly real. Tony had outfitted her with an armband that had JARVIS synced to it. Jane didn't want to give it back, since it was so helpful. She'd taken a homing beacon just in case, even though she was pretty sure her armband counted as a tracking device.
Throughout most of the walk, Jane was more focused on her surroundings than who was with her. She'd dressed sensibly in work boots, jeans, and a checkered button down over a grey tank, with a sturdy backpack slung over her shoulders. With a notebook in hand, Jane was constantly jotting down observations in her personal shorthand while carrying on a steady stream of checks with JARVIS, to make sure that he was recording more in depth from what she is. So far, they'd scanned numerous plants, trees, and other vegetation, as well as what few traces of dinosaurs they could find. Mostly, that was in the form of tracks and footprints.
She wandered off from the main group, ignoring JARVIS' warning to stay with them. There were tracks of a small creature, which drew her interest despite the knowledge that small tracks would probably lead to larger tracks. Maybe she'd get lucky.
"Doctor Foster, I really must insist," JARVIS interrupted quietly as she lost sight of the others after a glance over her shoulder.
"Fine, fine," Jane whispered in reply. "Tell Tony and Thor where I am. They're not far behind. I'll be fine, honestly." She was more focused on her path, picking her way over the foliage, roots, and whatnot. She missed something though, because her foot slipped and she felt herself falling even as she tried to catch herself. She ended up scraping her hand a bit as she landed hard against the log.
