The sudden voice was not enough to break Loki's concentration though as he turned to face the owner, he held his hand out and allowed the coin to fall into his palm. With a turn of his wrist, the coin was gone, hanging in the ether where only he could retrieve it. "Afternoon," was his smooth reply as his green eyes quickly sized up the woman before him. A threat assessment was always his first priority and while he refused to underestimate anyone, he sensed no danger here.
"Have you come to investigate the promise of ancient creatures?" The jotun's giddiness was almost evident in his face. While he preferred to keep his emotions somewhat shielded, keeping his face a blank mask was only useful where he intended to manipulate. Below all of that, he was genuinely excited to see something so old, to experience it. Loki's fascination with ancient things had existed all his life, a long-lived desire to touch things with so many years of endurance and learn in the hopes of becoming more settled in his extended lifespan.
His years have all been marked by turmoil, the recent ones the most profoundly, and he felt no balance or sense of endurance. Loki was rocked and held down, unable to stand up or seek help and it made him tired. At times, it was almost impossible to continue forward save for his fear of and desire to leave the past as far behind him was he was able.
