So far what Hayley heard of wherever Caine came from, she didn't like it. She would have wanted to change things, had it been her world. Cause a stir and all that. She supposed it did no good to think about it right now. It wasn't like she'd be able to do anything about it. But it was upsetting, people genetically engineering others like they were playing God or something. Though when she thought about it, she supposed it wasn't so different from vampires and Klaus making hybrids.
His words were a bit funny, because she basically was a queen. She was queen of the crescent wolves, and Jackson Kenner, her husband was the king. Maybe if they were around in Caine's world, they could have made a difference, but they had enough to contend with in their own. She did know Jackson would be upset about Caine's circumstances, though. Any wolf would be. Spliced or not, he was practically kin to them.
"Well, it's a good thing we're not in your world now." Hayley smiled. She wouldn't want anyone to lay a hand on him, simply for talking to her. "I have a pack, and we do things differently in my world. Never let anyone tell you that you're less, you're not." Maybe he wasn't a wolf by birth, but even the splicing made him someone special. He deserved to be respected and honored.
"My name is Hayley, by the way." She held out her hand for him to shake. She knew he might not understand the gesture, but she offered it just in case.
