Every solution Tony could come up with to fix the truck were costly. He got a feeling from Dom the guy would have paid anything to fix his favorite ride. That didn't mean the man who owned the truck would see it that way. All he could understand was it would be expensive, time consuming, and there were better trucks which had been built since it was put on the road which the man could buy for what it would cost to have Tony fix this one.
He laughed a little at the skeptical look on Dom's face at the idea of Tony fixing it with some alternative mechanics. There was an old school mechanic vibe to Dom. The guy was solid. He knew his work. He did it without complaint or even much chatter of any kind. It was hard not to think of Riddick when looking at him. Tony thought it could be the body type had something built into it which led to the literal strong, silent type of guy.
"I can honestly say it was worse. We had a flood where we were all trapped together in a building we couldn't get out of since there were very nasty sea monsters in said flood. There was a full-on zombie invasion. That was fun. Clean-up was not fun. We also got trapped in my building in total darkness. No one was too happy with that although I did have a few memorable moments with my fiancee."
He gave Dom a grin which left nothing to the imagination. They were men. It was acceptable to admit he was sexually active with his fiancee. Tony was going to marry Pepper. It wasn't like they were swapping locker room stories about their conquests. Not that Tony knew anything about locker room stories beyond what was in the media, but he had swapped stories with the best of them. Tony Stark had even swapped stories with Hugh Hefner.
Tony leaned against the truck as he considered Dom, "I think it's going to get worse here. I'm not going to lie about that. I worry about what's right around the corner. Are you ready for worse here?"
