Chuckling Dom pulled a grease rag from his back pocket, wiping the excess off his hands and the wrench he'd been using. Stepping back away from the hood, he shook his head. "We've spoken once, I met Deirdre one day in the park but I've not ran into him." Riddick seemed like an alright guy, even if he was supposedly an alien and a guy that would probably kick his ass ten ways from Sunday.
Dom wasn't about to admit that though, he figured it was a universal enough truth so he didn't have to admit it.
He waved a hand once he'd tucked the rag back into the back pocket of his pants. "It's no big deal about coming in. I told Miss Potts I would whenever I was needed, that won't change." Dom had spent a lot of time at his own shop when he'd owned one during the week, and the weekends were spent at home, still in the garage.
Cars were something Dom understood, something that could take his mind off of all the bullshit that life threw their way. It was nice to have a place where he could forget that they were trapped in a place with no way to get back home. At least he was lucky enough to have Letty there with him, that helped him more than anything truth be told.
Putting the wrench back onto the workbench, Dom lowered the hood of the car and used a clean cloth to wipe any fingerprints he might've left off. "This one's ready to go." It'd been a simple change of spark plugs and wires, nothing that fancy. "I'll take her out and bring the next one in."
Dom did just that, he rolled out the car into the parking area so it could go back to its waiting owner before pulling the next one in for an oil change. After he finished lifting the car, he looked over at Tony. "So you were in a place before this weren't you?"
