So just a couple of weeks after Bex showed up. That wasn't too bad, and it meant they didn't need to rehash all the miserable or ridiculous stuff that had been going on the past couple of weeks. There were only so many times she'd be okay with talking about those monsters who'd killed half the dogs in her care. Although, that was something they could talk about.
"Have you ever thought about adopting a dog?" Rebekah asked, before taking a sip of her wine. It really was a good bottle, certainly as good as a place like Test City Bar & Grill would have. She'd tried enough bottles to know which ones to avoid and which ones she liked for different occasions. "I've been here a month and a half or so. This place gave me a job at the Animal Clinic, as an adoption coordinator." She glanced over at Marceline and saw that the wine had bee turned to what looked like water.
"What the bloody hell?" Rebekah gave Marceline a funny look. "What happened to your wine?" She clearly hadn't been paying close enough attention to the other vampire because she missed whatever had just happened. She looked over the girl carefully. "What sort of vampire are you, Marceline?" This would be quite interesting to share with Elijah. He would, no doubt, find it amusing.
