Turning her head, Maleficent watched Ella as she spoke, a light smile tugging up the corners of her mouth. Love. It was a powerful thing. Not only did it keep a person going, but it kept them alive in the hearts of those that had been fortunate enough to know them.
"I hope that you will as well. As for myself? We shall see." Beauty could be found in many places, in many things, but Maleficent was missing her home and the people that she knew. That was one of the reasons why she had not quite found the beauty in things yet, but if she stayed there for any length of time she was sure that she would find the beauty in this place.
She gave a small tip of her head in Ella's direction, "Nothing is impossible. Especially in this place." Maleficent wished that she had the power to create wildlife. It was not within her magic to do such a thing. She sighed, and looked up at the trees. She missed the Wallerbogs, the other fairies, and she would never admit to it but the pixies as well. Mostly, however, she missed her companions. "Birds," she spoke finally, "I miss hearing birds greet the morning light."
Maleficent turned once again to look over at Ella, "Diaval, he is one of my companions, and a beautiful black crow who I turned into a man. Do not ever let him know what I said. His ego would be big enough to fill the entire city." A light teasing smile pulled up the corners of her lips and she couldn't help the small chuckle that parted her lips.
