Ella had seen the way the trees flourished under the fairy's magic. Surely she would get her wings back in a timely manner, particularly if they were so much a part of her. It seemed cruel and unusual to separate a woman from such an important part of herself seemed akin to separating a child from her mother.
"My home was full of love," she explained softly. "After my mother passed, my father and I were still able to keep her presence alive by talking of her often. It wasn't until my father died that our home started to lose some of it's beauty. I don't know if I'll ever feel that way again, but I hope I will. I hope you find beauty in this place to rival that of your home." Every place, every person, had the ability to be beautiful, both inside and out. Ella firmly believed that, with all her heart.
"I had hoped there might be horses, so that I could ride as I do at home, but there seems to be no sign of animals here, as you've said. That is somewhat disappointing, but just because there aren't any now doesn't mean it will stay that way. Perhaps if there are enough residents, Test City will see fit to provide a stable of horses," she said optimistically. "Are there any particular creatures from the moor where you live that you would wish to have in your company here?"
