A slender brow rose at that. It was strange to think that there was another fairy out there that did not have wings, but it was likely due to the fact that she was born without them. Maleficent would've given anything to have hers back, but she doubted that she would be graced with them anytime soon.
"We shall see if this place deems me worthy enough to get them back." She wasn't even sure she could have them back in her own world. There were too many unknown factors. For all she knew it was a fools errand. She smiled softly over at Ella, "That sounds lovely. I'm sure your home was beautiful." Maleficent looked down the path ahead, "I am not the only one that lives in this park. There are several others, so I keep to my space and they to theirs."
At least, she hadn't ran across any of them, even though they all supposedly worked doing the same jobs. The park wasn't that big, but it made no nevermind to Maleficent. She was fine being alone.
Maleficent could understand having peace in being in a place such as this. It was still, quiet except for the sounds of the wind rustling through the trees when it did. "In some aspects." She responded in kind, "The trees where I am from are bigger, strong, older than these. There are clear, cold streams where jewels rest at the bottom of their beds. And there are creatures, many different types of creatures that roam the moor where I am from. Here? There are none." That was another thing that had struck her as odd. There was no wildlife to speak of here in the park, or anywhere for that matter. Perhaps whatever had brought them here had planned for it to be that way.
"It's more beautiful where I am from, inside the boundaries of my home. Where the king lives is a sad place filled with anger and madness." She wouldn't mention that she was to blame for any of that. She'd merely been defending her home from those that sought to take it over.
