Ah to be young and trusting again. She was working on it, but it was, a work in progress. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ella." The young woman did indeed remind her greatly of Aurora, and it brought a smile to her lips. Perhaps she could learn to truly enjoy her time here if the people she met were any indication.
Shaking her head, Maleficent turned to look down the pathway. "No, you would not be." She might enjoy being alone sometimes, but fairies were social creatures at their core much like humans. The question took her by surprise, and she turned to look back over at Ella.
"I have been called that before, so I suppose you could say that." She'd never expected Aurora to call her that, but then again, she'd been around since the child's birth. She started walking slowly down the pathway. "There was a girl, her name is Aurora, that I -- looked after for 16 years. She is the one that stated I was a Fairy Godmother. Until then I was nothing more than a fairy living and protecting the moor from humans." Maleficent turned her head to consider Ella, "And yes, I had wings at one time. Someone stole them from me." Maleficent saw no reason to lie to Ella, and she honestly assumed that it would be only a matter of time before she asked the question.
