"I am no lady, child." Maleficent chuckled softly, the young woman instantly reminding the fairy of Aurora. Goodness, she missed her immensely. Maleficent turned to face the girl better, hand on her staff, head cocked to the side a degree.
She had an air of innocence that Maleficent knew too well thanks to her dealings with Aurora, although there was something strong there underneath the surface. Many people wrote off women in general, but they were strong, fierce creatures when they needed to be.
Maleficent had no doubts that the woman before her was such a woman.
"You did not disturb me. I was merely curious as to who would be following me." Maleficent lifted a slender shoulder in a half shrug. "It is dangerous out here. There are others here that might not be as kind as I am." Maleficent had seen others in the park, those that could be a potential threat, and that wasn't counting the other mortals that were residents of the city.
Humans, they were brutal creatures, and they loved nothing more than robbing people of their innocence. "I would be happy to walk with you, if you do not mind company." Maleficent offered the girl a genuine smile, and small tip of her head.
