Dirty Dancing was a favorite for Caroline, even though she hadn’t even been born at the time of the release. They played it on TV plenty when she was growing up, and her mom always had a thing for Patrick Swayze. She kind of wondered if Liz had met him in heaven. That would be kind of cool, she thought. It was the first not sad thought she’d had about her mother’s passing. So that was progress.
She was glad that Baby enjoyed the movie, and equally curious to hear Klaus’s thoughts on it. Ice cream, tequila, and popcorn had made a good movie even better. She didn’t know much about Baby, but she seemed edgy and cool. Caroline didn’t have many friends here. She didn’t have Bonnie and Elena. And there was little chance that she could ever be friends with Hayley after how she’d gotten Tyler’s mom killed a couple of years ago.
Baby was a solid candidate for a girlfriend, even if she did spend a lot of her time rolling around with that one guy. Caroline wasn’t one to judge. She’d once banged the Original hybrid whom she was currently sitting next to. He was in love with her, and they both knew it. Caroline wasn’t sure precisely how she felt about Klaus, but she did know that she couldn’t get him out of her system like she’d thought.
“Let’s watch the Notebook next.” Caroline suggested, with a smirk. If Baby had liked Johnny and Baby’s love story in Dirty Dancing, she was sure to love Noah and Allie’s, right? Plus the idea of making Klaus watch the Notebook was too good to pass up.
