Elle didn't really know where to go from here. It was as if she felt like she was in a constant state of limbo. She wasn't supposed to come back. But here she was, and now her life was truly her own and it kind of terrified her. For so long she'd been isolated and now...she was just free. What could she do with that? Part of her just wanted to go back to being dead. It would have been easier.
Elle was stronger than that, she had to keep reminding herself. She didn't feel much like the sassy, confident woman she'd come to portray, even if that was a facade. She felt much more like a broken little doll right now. But that would pass. She would figure this out, and be okay. Or as close to okay as she could get.
Elle was a force to be reckoned with. Not some little cry baby.
"Thank you." She said, coolly, as she took the items from Levi. "I have this key...but I'm not sure where my apartment is. Would you mind showing me?" Once Elle was feeling more like herself, then she would find some way to thank him for his kindness. Right now, she just had to focus on not causing a citywide blackout.
