She could not just leave Charlie to die in her place, no matter what these things could or could not do to her. Maybe she just had to shift a bit into full on zombie mode and then they'd see what she was made of. The temptation was there, but she couldn't control it. And she wouldn't risk hurting Charlie or worse, making him a zombie in the process, so that option was out.
"Right, we run." She said, she was on board with him for that. Whatever the spirits were feeling, well it had Charlie more than a bit spooked. Liv was definitely taking him seriously. It seemed like eternity before they reached the apartments. Wasn't that how it seemed when the heroes were escaping in horror movies too? Liv thought so. Well, at least they might be out of danger now.
She didn't dare look back again, because she couldn't control what might happen. Full on zombie mode could kick in, and that helped no one. She raced up the stairs towards the indicated apartment, but she was still unwilling to leave Charlie behind. "You better be right behind me."
And at last, she felt safer as she made it into the apartment. Though she did wonder what was to stop the things from coming in.
