If Charlie actually thought that Liv would consider leaving him behind, he was dead wrong. She was fighting with everything she had not to go into what she called full-on zombie mode, but maybe if she did, it’d be better. Maybe she could take those things apart, bit by bit, piece by piece. The bloodlust that seemed to be building inside of her was terrifying. She was relieved when she snapped out of it, though she didn’t think Charlie even knew Liv was almost gone for a moment.
She shook her head, clearly insisting that wasn’t an option. “Either we both run, or we both fight...but splitting up is not an option. You sacrificing yourself for me? Not an option.” And if he knew what was good for him, he was going to listen to the zombie girl. Either they both made it or...no, thinking about anything else wasn’t an option right now.
“Understand me Charlie, I will not leave you behind. So what’s it gonna be?” These things were killing people. They needed to be put down. They couldn’t hurt Liv, not really. But they could hurt Charlie and that was not something she wanted to see. So Liv hoped that he would choose to try running with her, that they could make it.
“I’m not losing you.” She said more firmly. He could try to make her leave him all he wanted, but she was stubborn and wasn’t budging on the issue.
