Peggy felt a flash of sadness at that news. She and Bucky hadn't been close per se back during the war but she had respected him and his ability as a soldier but more importantly she was aware of just how much he meant to Steve who meant the world to her. So, it stood to reason she was interested in knowing him better. By the sound of it though that wasn't to be the case. It was then, that she noticed the metal arm that he was supporting.
"I'm sorry, so sorry," she told him. "It must be so hard not remembering anything. I served with you during the war. Do you know about that?" she asked carefully. "Do you know Steve?" she added. That might be a good place to start as well.
When she had spotted him, she hadn't expected anything like this.
