"Don't apologize to the guy who almost ran you over. It's weird. Also? It makes my inner legal team throw a party and I hate making lawyers happy. Even hypothetical ones."
Tony couldn't imagine a world in which someone had never been in a car. The woman didn't look backwards. There were people from other time periods in Test City. He'd run across a guy who looked shockingly similar to Clint Barton who might as well have been dragging his knuckles. She didn't look anywhere close to that. Her clothes were all modern. Her speech had a strange inflection. Dreamy almost.
She could be on something.
Drugs were something Tony had only briefly flirted with before falling head over heels in love with alcohol. He wanted to say he had no idea what drugs could do to a person, but that would be a lie. Tony Stark was a lot of things, but he wasn't a liar. His past was his past and he owned it, good and bad.
"This happens to be a Tesla Roadster. It's a B-E-V which means it's a Battery Electric Vehicle. No fuel emissions since no fuel to be used. Electric car. Wheels of the future. How have you never been in a car? You don't look like you're one of those people yanked from the past. Are you on something? Hey, I'm not one to judge. I'm just asking. I did a little of everything back in the day."
