If we don't appreciate the simple joys of life, what is left to us? Misery? Malcontent? I, for one, don't wish to live in a state of constant unhappiness or bitterness when there is a grey scale in play. Not everything is wholly good nor is everything wholly bad. We are all of us granted some measure of both. It's only in how we perceive it that we find our contentment with our lives or lack thereof.
