Landon let out a rush of breath as he felt the vampire let go of him, shaking himself for a moment before he glanced down at the creature. "And now, you die, like all the rest before you...don't even think to pray to God."
But the word the boy was saying wasn't God. The Spaniard, who always wanted to know everything, didn't like to hear that the creatures who he had slain had prayed in their final moments.
Reaching beneath his coat, he pulled yet another weapon out and knelt down next to the vampire. A sudden light on his face made him blink and he looked up, his eyes narrowing in the brightness.
"Sir, is someone injured?"
Great. The effin' coppers.
"Nah, s'just me mate here. We're smashed...terribly sorry officers...won't be a bother no more. We're almost home." He took a couple of steps towards the cops after he'd sheathed his weapon and smiled a wide guileless smile.
