Julian blinks at the stranger's easy familiarity. It's a shocking change from the hostility he's encountered thus far, and a welcome one.
"Julian Marais." He gives a tiny, tentative smile, still wary but curious to know more. He hesitates just a moment longer, then moves a little closer, wincing as sore muscles contract. "I thought perhaps this was your territory and wished to save you the trouble of beating me." He pauses, a little embarrassed at his battered condition. "The others I have met are not very welcoming to strangers."
