Myer tips his head to the side and opens his eyes. "Really, do you not know me after all this time? I don't tiptoe around the fact that he's three times my size, no. It's hard to ignore the elephant in the room when you're talking to him."
He folds his arms across his chest as Adam's expression becomes more guilty, more...accusatory. "Fine. Have you ever heard me say, 'Fuck, Corbel, you don't need that fifth serving'? Or 'Fuck, Corbel, the ground shakes when you walk'? No. I don't say anything of the sort unless he comes up with some moronic self-deprecatory remark, looking for vindication or excuses for or of his bad habit. I've never babied him any more than I'd baby Cindy or Trixie or Tion. He can own up to what he's done and accept the consequences of his actions, just like you or I would. But I don't go out of my way to torment him, no. It's like kicking soft-bellied, squealing puppies."
He might not be as easy with Austin as the others are, but to expect him to be is ridiculous. Myer's not easy with anyone, including himself. He has in the past stopped people from picking on Austin, who can't or won't fight back, too "nice" to do so. Myer despises behavior like that. Stand up for yourself, because who the hell else will?
