"Warm fire? Cocoa?"
Shelby expected to be thoroughly exhausted on her honeymoon, but not for the actual exercise they were getting. Where the heck did Levi get all his energy? He was a madman, go go, non-stop. Up the mountain, down the mountain, back to the room. Her limbs were like jello and she couldn't wipe the smile off her face. While Shelby had been surprised at the suggestion that they go skiing, it really was an incredible idea. Something they didn't get the chance to experience in south Texas. She was mesmerized by the beauty of the mountain. And her new husband.
Ironically, she'd come to find out that she was much better at snowboarding than she was at skiing. Maybe it the fact there was just one piece of equipment versus four. Her balance was good and the honeymooners made the most of their incredible getaway. They had already run through half a tube of chapstick for all the kissing they were doing outside. Who could blame them? They were newlyweds.
Trudging back toward the lodge, Shelby felt like a puffalump in her warm ski jacket and pants. Her knitted hat matched everything and the flaps covered her ears and the ties hung down in front of her shoulders but her red wind-whipped cheeks clashed with it all. "Warm fire? Cocoa?" Her teeth almost chattered with the suggestion as she looked up at Levi. He looked so rugged. He was built for out of doors and she wondered if she should just leave him to play in the snow for a while.
