Alice wasn't surprised that he died his first time, but she had the smarts enough to not say it aloud. Actually, she was keeping most of her rude comments to herself since she was getting a free meal out of him. Not that he had said a lot of things that required them, but Alice was exceptionally rude at times ─ even when she didn't realize it.
She even managed to compromise. "I'll give you different." Because it was definitely different. "Everything here is though." The girl admitted, testing her drink to make sure it had cooled enough, which it had. "I'm not used to a small town that has so... little." She looked around the place, an involuntary lip curl taking place. It disappeared by the time she looked back at him though.
"Only thanks to that girl. Berry or something. She thinks she knows everything." Another face was made, obviously not a fan of the older girl. She had been nice enough, but Alice was pretty sure she'd never really like her. She recognized her last name in connection with one of the teachers though, so she was also not ever going to be a bitch to Strawberry for that fact alone.
"I could do with it just being normal a while. The teachers forget some of us aren't used to these events. They're already assigning homework and there hasn't even been an adjustment period." It was like they expected their students to just be entirely okay with hedge mazes and beer faucets.
Her sandwich arrived, which she gave a very quiet 'thank you' to the clerk for and then glanced at him, considering how she could eat it while looking like a lady. She was starting to regret her choice as she tried to pick it up several different ways so that it didn't fall apart.
