She scowled faintly, her brain puzzling at the matter. Children. Children? She hadn't been 'cozying up' to anybody except for Hagar, and that was consensual. The frown lines on her brow disappeared as mortified comprehension dawned, and a slow flush stained her neck and cheeks a dark pink.
"Hope," she said with a hopeless sort of understanding, and she spread her hands out in Lot's direction as if asking for patience. "It was a misunderstanding, I swear. I don't know what Hagar told you, but I'm not after her daughter. I just spoke to her this morning. To Hagar, not Hope. Hell, we..."
