Lot flinched, snapping his eyes open and cursing how easy it was for someone to sneak up on him in a nearly empty room in a very echoey building. Though he spotted the collar immediately he felt a flush of embarrassment at being caught in such a revealing position. Though it was hard to hide the reason he was here, and why should he have tried? He felt as if he'd been caught doing something wrong. As if the man could have told just by looking at him that he was simply just another lapsed Catholic.
"I doubt there are many who aren't troubled," he said with a sheepish smile, or as close to a smile as he got around strangers, "But I suppose I was here for confession though I haven't seen the box available," he looked over his shoulder as if just to make sure he'd been telling the truth.
