Re: Melody & Topher (& Swift later)
"But it doesn't save lives." Melody said with a smile. She appreciated Topher's kind words too, nodding. "I've been doing a lot of...photo sketches lately, for birthdays and such." That could be exhausting sometimes, because it took a lot of time and there were always people who didn't want to buy what they had ordered because it didn't look like photo after all. "I'm good with the teaching, I really love working with the kids, they're adorable." She was about to ask where his thoughts were but in the end, she pushed that aside, grinning. "That's good, because I'm really not that good a cook. Especially not now without microwaves and things..." And then she had to giggle after all. "I'll make sure you'll have cupcakes or cakes with your lunch, then."
Because funnily enough, baking still worked, even on wood fire stoves. "Christmas is always open to the other tribes here, so don't worry. There's enough food here, too. And I made a cake or two." Actually it had been four she'd made the day before. Noticing the grim tone in his voice she rose to her tiptoes, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "No one will care which tribe you're from here tonight, I promise."
