Lot & Pixie
Avoidance was a sad thing to watch, but at least it seemed Lot was mostly telling the truth. He seemed like such a sullen man. She wondered what had happened in his past to make him such a way, but she wouldn't pry. She had her own secrets that she wanted hidden from the light too.
Perhaps that was another reason why Pixie had chosen this group over the others. The Chets seemed too domineering,a nd the last thing she needed was her son becoming violent. The Tawas were almost too nice and open about things, something Pixie didn't want to be around 24/7, and the Omas and Cano were just out of the question for her. Lot's group seem the best. It helped that there was another mother there too, with a daughter about Skellington's age.
"You know I always appreciate a day off," she replied. "Not that I'm worked too hard, no, I didn't mean that," she defended quickly. They hadn't been there long, and the last thing she needed was to mistakenly say something that could get all three of them thrown out. Fixing her tone so she didn't sound like a pushover, Pixie continued with, "The kids are good." She actually looked over and noticed her son holding up her daughter's plate from her. Now that was unfair, he was a full foot taller than her. "See? They're getting along like little angels," she said sarcastically, just in time for Ladybug to take something off of Skellington's plate and throw it at him, the food landing on his face. Pixie closed her eyes in embarrassment as she let out a short giggle.
"Sorry about that," she giggled. "I promise they will help clean up after everything tonight."
