Mac saw the light bulb turn on in the other girl's eyes. Ah, this was too much fun sometimes. Now Melody knew just who she had been chatting with and Mac knew a little bit about the doctor in her tribe.
"Nice to meet you too. I do apologize for not having introduced myself before now," she replied, sounding a bit embarrassed. "Must've gotten caught up in the conversation." Melody was so cute, so easy to mess with. But Mac felt like moving on and letting the girl clean her wounds and get on with her day. Now that she knew where to most likely find the red-headed Tawa, she'd be going in to see more of Topher in the days to come just for the opportunity to mess with them both.
"Ah, well, I should be letting you get inside and washing those," Mac said, motioning to the scrapes. "Again, so sorry for that. I hope I didn't ruin your Christmas." That was totally untrue, of course. She had enjoyed startling the girl and the injuries would serve as a reminder to Melody in some ways. No need to turn this episode into something negative. That could always be something that came over time.
