Melody knew that some people found her enthusiasm annoying. But she had long since given up on trying to change for other people's sake. It had been a hard lesson to learn, especially during high school. But trying to be like everyone else just to fit in hadn't helped her at all, quite the contrary. It still wasn't easy, but then again, rejection never was. But she had found that she was happier just being herself and knowing that those around her, close to her, were her friends because they liked her the way she was.
Mel's eyes widened when she was asked for her name and her cheeks reddened a little. "I'm so sorry, I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Melody. It's really nice to meet you. Even though it probably was the clumsiest entrance I've ever had." Or at least came very close to that position.
