Melody couldn't cook to save her life. Why that was, she had no idea, since she knew how to bake just fine. But when it was about real food...she managed to mess it up every single time. Never quite in the same way, but still most of what she produced came out barely edible if she was lucky or completely burnt on the outside and frozen inside (or something else to that extent) quite more often.
"I think we might have just to shift our perception of what is normal?" Melody suggested with a smile. Normal for her was believing in spirits and fairies, even though you couldn't see them. Normal was seeing the wonder even in the smallest things. Like making cupcake on an old fashioned stove. "They actually taste quite nice! When I first started I didn't really think they would turn out edible." Maple syrup was just a little easier to come by nowadays than white sugar. She nodded with a smile. "That sounds like it could be a fun idea. I'm pretty sure others could need it too and we can always trade what we don't need, right?"
Smiling happily she gave Vesper a one-armed hug. "They're beautiful, I really love them! And they will keep my fingers really warm, too!" So she could sit outside and draw, too. That was definitely a plus! She giggled softly, nodding even as a blush crept up her cheeks. "I promise!" They were going to a very nice accessory to her clothes. She already knew which kind of dress she wanted to wear. The blush even darkened with Vesper's next words. "You're very sweet to say so. And...he is quite a few years older than me, but I really don't mind. He's sweet and nice and he makes me laugh."
