It simply had to due with the fact Vesper didn't consider herself as a true 'Cano'. She was enough of one to provide for her Tribe members but not enough to seek them socially. Besides, she had bigger fish to fry than worrying about how mysterious or how self sufficient she seemed. If Bridget had worries about her behavior, the leader hadn't informed her yet. If that should happen, Vesper would deal with it.
She cautiously walked over to Lot, trying to judge his mood. He was in a very good mood as far as she knew and there was a prinkling knowledge as to why he was such. But for now, Vesper pushed that thought aside and approached the Lawu with a faster bounce in her step. "I'm trying my best, I lack the height, beard, and stomach at the moment." She glanced down and sighed almost mournfully, "We'll see how it goes next year. I'll have to content with just being his helper and also wish you a Merry Christmas?" Her head tilted but she approached him on the trail, "I do. The Cano celebration isn't until later this evening. I've only got to worry about the Enks before then, even if the Oma has them covered." This might even be a good time to hand him over the present she brought for him.
