Hope listened quietly, nodding. She was still just a little weirded out by the fact that a girl just a few years older seemed to be interested in her mother. No, not seemed to, she was interested in her mother. "Yes, you would." she said just as gravely. As much as her and Hagar fought, her mother was the single most important person in her life after all.
"I don't know why you care so much." she said slowly, trying to find the right words. It was a lot to digest after all. "But my mom deserves that. Someone to care about her like that." She didn't even know her father, but she was quite convinced that there had never been any love lost between them.
She relaxed a little, offering a wry smile of her own. "I Know she's been with women before. And hey, I'm not from yesterday." she added, lips quirking into a grin. "Good. My Mom is stubborn as a mule, so you'll have to be just as stubborn to get through to her. Staying around for the warm weather is a good start though."
