Kahea was trying to get her focus back from her second tumble back. At least the dog wasn't trying to bite her face off, like she had originally believed it would try. Her shoulder, however, was starting to really sting.
"Anela, enough already," she said, tearing the clawing cat off of her shoulder and holding her by the nap of her neck. Kahea looked up at the stranger, recognizing him but not knowing his name. She was pretty sure she had seen him somewhere, maybe a few parties the Tawa had thrown? Or during the war? Kahea couldn't exactly place his face but he was vaguely familiar.
"What serves me right?" she asked, regaining herself and standing up without losing balance this time.
