Daniel stirred at her touch, his eyelids fluttering open to reveal bleary brown eyes. The first couple of times he had started awake at the unexpected touch. He also still didn't entirely trust his own mind, so when he woke up it often took him a moment to convince himself that this was all real and not some extremely vivid hallucination.
A soft sigh left him as his gaze focussed on Angel, unconsciously relaxing again and leaning into her touch. He tended to still where more layers than seemed necessary for the current weather and had yet to sleep in anything less than two. It was also still a bit of a struggle for Angel to get him out of the damn coat at times. He didn't want her to see how much weight he had lost over the years. Even though he had been underweight when they had been together, he knew it was much worse now and he was determined to keep the true extent of it hidden from Angel and the kids.
