Toby loved this kind of weather, it was perfect for working outside. Sunny, but not really hot yet. And he loved being outside. There was a softly hummed melody on his lips as he worked on the small, empty house. It had stood empty for at least a year, and you could see it. The paint was coming off, the windows were blind and the wooden shutters were rotting. The inside wasn't much better. The floor would need to be redone somehow and if they could, new wallpapers would be fantastic.
But it was structurally sound, one of the few empty ones that was and had survived being abandoned. During his travel's, he'd learned a few things that came in handy right now. He'd taken off the broken shutters, and the whole ones too. Because he probably wouldn't be able to paint them the same colors. So he would need the whole ones as pattern to make new ones. He'd been able to gather the necessary tools over the last couple of weeks and had managed to hone his whittling skills too. So right now he was sitting in front of the house, the pieces of a whole shutter in front of him as he formed the last piece. He was smiling because he was almost done with this and he knew Swift would be happy once the house was all done.
