"Yeah I know, me too." Scarlet said quietly to Topher's remark. "I keep trying to remember all my grandma's old recipes against cold's and whatever other ailments she had remedies for. At least that's an alternative for some meds we can't get our hands on. But it still feels like it's not enough." She sighed softly, then looked at Doc, eyes a little wide with surprise. "That's genius!" she exclaimed with a soft chuckle. "Man, I really need to get my brain going a little more if I really want to be of help here." It was said with a smile, but she wasn't joking. She knew she was no full doctor, but she wanted to play her part, too. And not just half assed.
"Hey, the only one allowed to call anyone old man here is me, alright?" she said with a grin to try and keep this from turning into a more serious argument, though she didn't expect it to really, not with the two present men. With others? Yeah, that could quite possibly happen. Guys and their ambitions to always be better than the next guy. It was honestly quite puzzling to her most of the time. Girls didn't go around comparing who had the bigger boobs, either.
"I've tried drinking it the Turkish way, just pour hot water over the ground coffee and wait until it sinks to the ground. But I haven't found the right balance yet. Either it's so strong it makes you want to puke or it doesn't taste like much more than water..." She missed good coffee, or even better, caramel macchiato. Ugh. "And chocolate. It shouldn't be so frickin' hard to get my hands on chocolate!" Yes, she was a total girl when it came to that. She sighed a soft breath. "Everything comes with a price, doesn't it? Hot spring actually sounds pretty damn amazing in this weather if you ask me."
