Kahea more than relieved to find out that this was, indeed, still Savage's place and she hadn't gotten it mistaken and/or he up and left without telling her.
She ignored the near saying the man's real name. Some people still weren't used to new names. It was easy for Kahea because hers was part of her actual middle name, and growing up everyone had some kind of nick-name, and in theatre everyone had their nick-name, or 'stage name' as they labeled it.
She smiled better and held up the foil-covered plates of food. "I brought leftovers for him, and there should be enough for you too. I held a funeral," Kahea paused to calm her breathing for a second, "a.. a funeral for my dog and I didn't Savage there. He was the one who helped me cremate Koa and so I thought it only fair to bring him some of the luau leftovers to say Mahalo, Thank you, in person," she explained, her eyes getting a bit glassy but no tears coming down, yet. "I left him a lei yesterday before the ceremony. Um.. do you know if her got it?" she inquired.
