Kahea held a breath as the door opened and then her eyes widened in shock. Had she gotten the wrong place? Had Savage moved elsewhere? Who had received the lei she placed by his door yesterday? Perhaps she had better say something rather than stand there like open-mouthed fool.
"Hi," she managed to say, remembering to breath. "I'm Kahea. I was looking for Savage." She wasn't sure what else to say, so she left it at that for now. Anela mewed from her place in Kahea's satchel, the cat having smelled the food the whole walk over and now that they were stopped, wanted some for her own.
