oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, It hurt. Why did it hurt so much? Her head span, her eyes glued shut with the warm blood that was pouring down her face. She could still feel the pressure on her skull, the way he'd grabbed her head between his two meaty hands and slid his thumb over her eye. The way he'd pushed as hard he could. The sickening pop as her eye had folded into itself. A sickening pain filled screamed ripped itself from her mouth and for a moment she was worried she might pass out and miss her own death. But somehow the weight over her had lessened and with one eye closed and the other misty she'd crawled across the torn up ground back the way she thought she'd come. Belly caked in mud Ley Ley clawed at the earth trying to stop herself from passing out by breathing steadily but her face hurt soo much she thought that perhaps it was better to die than live in this pain for the rest of her life.
Heavy boots fell into her line of vision and she exhaled figuring this was it but the hands reached down and lifted her, carrying her towards town, away from the fight. To safety. Ley Ley could still feel the hot sticky blood pouring down one side of her face when the arms carried her into the triage centre and helped her sit on the most uncomfortably cold chair in the room. "We've got a pirate here!" the voice called, the only clue to his tribe affiliation that she needed. Definitely not her own.
