Buck stopped as Knight grabbed his shoulder and he raised his head slowly to look at the taller man. His expression remained somewhere between impassive and angry. He met his second's gaze with hard blue eyes.
"There should be a Cano on the border. Find out if they saw anything but don't do anything else. Just come back and tell me what they say. I'll be at the border's edge. This ends now," he ground out before turning on his heel and stalking off.
He knew exactly what he was going to do, he was going to send runners to the other tribes, telling them what had happened and that he would be hitting the clearing where the Cano had found out the slaves were being kept, today. As each leader should have already prepared their people for either rescue or assault, he would expect them to meet at the eastern point of town, where the Oma, Tawa and Cano territories met. He would give them an hour max. and then he was leaving.
