Robin pushed herself away from the wall and stepped over to where Buck was standing. She looked at each leader and their second in turn, her expression remaining impassive before she began to speak.
"Some of our scouts noticed smoke from a campfire in the forest within our territory. A few of us chose to investigate. At first they believed them to be bandits or thieves with the intention of stealing any livestock we had." Robin paused briefly. When Mari and Tigerlily had informed her of what the 'livestock' had really been, even the relatively calm and impassive Canadian had seen red at the prospect. She had gone to Bridget and after a lengthy discussion the decision to inform the other tribes had been made and left in Robin's hands.
"The supposed 'livestock' the intruders had been referring to were women. They are slavers. Here to take women from the town to sell and do with as they please."
Robin looked at Buck, who nodded, his lips set in a grim line. She had given her information, if the others wanted more they could ask.
