Lou had always been good at waking up early. She did her best art work at night, but there was always so much to be done during the day, she had to adapt to her schedule. Lou had pretty much been on her own since sixteen, taking care of herself came naturally. Most of the Tawas didn't bother getting up until they were good and ready, so it was quiet when she got started cleaning up and getting food ready. She didn't want to disturb anyone, so she made a little bit of oatmeal for herself, not wanting it cold by the time the others woke up. After she ate, she padded around, intent on going to start a sketch or read, until she heard the gentle thrum of a guitar from upstairs. It wasn't loud enough to disturb those sleeping, but Lou could hear it. She decided to go see who was playing and listen for awhile. She got a sweater on and went upstairs to peek and listen, assuming they didn't tell her to get lost.
She was quiet on the way up, not wanting to disturb who was playing. She listened from the stairs for a few bars, smiling at the soulful male voice. Then she reached the top stairs and tiptoed in. "Hey Cat," She whispered during a break in the melody, "Mind if I come in?"
