Re: Dropping in on cooking time!
"Stealing, huh?" Knight got it. Evie was hungry and scared, and probably didn't have anywhere to go or look out for her. Times were hard. You couldn't punish someone for doing their best to survive. "Didn't hurt anyone, didn't take from anyone who needed it more than you?" He asked the girl, waiting for her answer before continuing, and heard Dove's interjection. With a nod, he said, "Then we'll keep this between the three of us, and next time you get too hungry, let me or Dove know. Stealing can be dangerous if you get caught, you know. We got a deal?" He asked, pulling up a nearby stool so he could sit with the two ladies.
Jarvis spent the majority of the time staring at Dove, but when it became clear she wasn't going to drop any more food, he moved on to the other girl holding food. He walked to her side and sat before her, his tongue lolling out and doing his best to put his puppy eyes to work. "Oh, I'm being rude. Evelyn, that's Jarvis. Jarvis, stop begging Evelyn for food. Do people call you Eve or Evie or something else? No one calls me Alec anymore, so I thought it might be the same for you."
