Mari glanced up at the tree that Tiger was standing guard in when the man looked around him. She smiled softly at how well her family blended into the forest when they wanted to. She was proud to belong to these people. That was one of the reasons that she was so defensive of their territory.
She ate her apple quietly while the man handed out the food to the kids. "Maybe I can help you with that. Where are you heading to?" She asked casually, "The forest can get confusing, and I can point you in the right direction."
Mari shook her head slightly. "I don't want anything for the food. It's a kindness."
