Mari woke up on Tuesday still deeply worried about the campers in the woods. She didn't think she would have been able to sleep at all with the worry eating at her. Finally in the early hours of morning she had drifted off. When she woke she had the urge, the need to move, to do something, anything. There was one thing she could do until the tribe came to a decision about what to do about the intruders. She could go into the town and find out if there were any new people there, or any women suddenly missing. That decided she cleaned up and gathered some things to take to the trading post. Information was traded there as well as goods, and it was the best place to find out what she was looking for.
She spent the late morning and early afternoon talking with the traders and getting the town gossip. Satisfied she had everything she was going to get information wise she began looking for things she could use. She was just leaving a table where she had picked up fresh cloth she could use to make into bandages. As she turned, one of the children she had seen playing ran into her hard causing her to stumble. She tried to catch herself but stepped wrong and felt her ankle twist and give out on her. She fell hard with a loud gasp, right in front of another shopper. She winced slightly and looked up at him, "Sorry," she said softly as she began feeling her ankle for damage.
