She batted her eyelashes and pretended to look bashful, "You're such a flatterer,"
She would never admit it but she sort of felt sorry for Mac sometimes. Even though they got on and she was friendlier with her than she was with anyone else Ley Ley would never be foolish enough to tell Mac she pitied her. Partly because it was rude and would diminish what she was trying to do but also because it wasn't pity per say but sympathy for how hard she had to work to keep herself in the position she'd earned. Saga had an unquestioning authority as if she had been bestowed it by birth. Ley Ley had arrived not long after the Pulse but she'd never seen Saga climb to the top she'd just been there like she'd been in charge all along. But Mac had climbed, she'd climbed before she got here, but sometimes it seemed as if she was still climbing, vying for the top which was what anyone would do who wanted the lead role. She didn't know why men thought Mac was an easy target, sure she wasn't built like a brick house but she wasn't a push over. She appreciated that it must have been hard for her to relax when any inch given would result in a mile taken and possibly end in her demise by men who thought the natural order was for them to be back in charge.
She nodded, "Yeah let's go," she rose from the spot and followed her into her apartment admiring the way it didn't look like a tornado had just ripped through it like hers always did. Once they were inside she kicked off her boots exposing grey socks that didn't have a hole in them yet and she wiggled her toes as if they were delighted to be free, "So Savage lives up to his name huh? What's the damage?" without hesitance or asking she flopped down on the bed shufflig until she reached the top and was resting against the headboard.
